"Trained by the masters of the field — but with a youthful eye and a modern take on his craft."

The Physician

And now Newport Beach.

Dr. John Andre's training path is unusual for a plastic surgeon: he has been mentored on both coasts and across the middle of the country. He earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Creighton University and completed his medical degree and general surgery residency at Loyola University in Chicago, where he conducted award-winning research. He then pursued a burn fellowship at UC Davis — the training that teaches a surgeon to work in the tissue conditions most others avoid — before completing his plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Florida, where he served as Chief Resident and Fellow across his final three years.

During his Cleveland Clinic fellowship, he conducted research comparing AI-generated beauty standards with traditional aesthetic ideals — the kind of forward-looking work that marks a surgeon paying attention to where the specialty is going, not only where it has been.

As a fully trained plastic surgeon, Dr. Andre chose to pursue an additional year of specialized training as the 2024–2025 Orange County Aesthetic Surgery Fellow at Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery, under Drs. Larry Nichter and Jed Horowitz. He studied their unique approaches to the LiteLift®, California Breast Lift®, rapid recovery breast augmentation, limited-scar breast lifts, and scarless breast augmentation. Today, he applies those techniques alongside the skills he built during a decade of training across the country.

Dr. Andre is fluent in Spanish — a second major at Creighton completed summa cum laude, and part of his practice with Spanish-speaking patients today. Combined with his surgical mission work in Latin America and East Africa (including Kenya trips in 2024 and 2025 with Mission Plasticos), the language is not decorative but working.

He is an affiliated surgeon at NCSS as part of the Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery team, and also practices at Woodglen Institute of Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery in Glendora.

The Distinctive Dimension

trained across generations.

Most plastic surgeons train regionally. They complete residency in a single geographic area, join a practice near their training program, and see the field through the aesthetic sensibility of one region and one lineage of mentors. Dr. Andre's training crossed the Midwest, the West Coast, and the Southeast — and now returns him to Newport Beach, under two of the specialty's most-recognized senior surgeons.

That breadth matters. It means his surgical judgment was shaped by more than one house style, more than one geography of aesthetic taste, and more than one generation of teachers. It is why the two Pacific Center founders selected him to be their fellow.

Note from the Medical Director

"Dr. Andre represents the pinnacle of his new generation in plastic surgery. Extremely well-trained, with mentors on both coasts. I would have no qualms about him operating on my own family."
